The Great NFJ Encore Raffle

Remember the goodness of NFJ? That's Nan's Fancy Jams.

For three years Mohonk Mountain Stage Company was pleased to be the exclusive purveyor of Nan's Fancy Jams, Jellies, Marmalades, Chutneys and Mustards. All of Nan's Fancy Jams were "limited-edition," made in small batches from the freshest, hand-cut fruit. Whether a traditional favorite, like "Award-Winning Sour Cherry," or an unusual combination, like "Chipotle Pepper Jelly," "Caramelized Vidalia Onion Chutney," "Meyer Lemon Ginger Marmalade," or "Roasted Garlic Mustard," each offering started with carefully selected (or hand-picked) ingredients (organic or low-spray produce from the Hudson Valley, whenever possible), and lovingly made by Nan herself.

A portion of the proceeds from every NFJ purchase was donated to the Mohonk Mountain Stage Company's Theatre Scholarship Fund.

After years of being the delighted recipients of jams and jellies made by Nan from the local produce she picked herself, MMSC founders Bob Miller and Christine Crawfis persuaded her to make her hand-crafted comestibles available to a wider audience.

When Nan moved to Philadelphia in 2007, we sadly had to put the last jars of NFJ on the For Sale table at the June performances of Indian Blood and Screen Play. They sold out quickly and we receive constant requests from NFJ fans to "bring 'em back!"

Well... they are back, if only temporarily.

We have 12 precious jars and we are going to raffle them off on Friday and Saturday, February 20 & 21 during the intermission of The Lady With All The Answers. (Those of you who know Nan will know how appropriate that show title is!) Each night's winner will receive 6 jars of an assortment of NFJ!

So see you this weekend at Unison Arts for Lady/Answers. If you can't be there but still want to purchase raffle tickets, send us an email. (info@mmstageco.com)

And remember all proceeds will go into MMSC's Theatre Scholarship Fund. (Want to learn more about the Scholarship Fund, check it out (http://www.mmstageco.com/aboutus/theatre_scholarship.html)

Help!

Next week we are doing a short evening of comedy at Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz. We have a nice mix of classic American humor: Twain, Nash, Thurber—and of course Who’s On First and Burns and Allen.

In a few weeks we need to expand that program to a full evening for a performance in Newburgh.

Anybody got suggestions for funny material (short stories, poems, essays)? We’d appreciate the help.

Just click the “comments” button below and put in your two cents worth. Or send us an email an info@mmstageco.com

Thanks.
